He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Bill Samuel to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Samuel has better-than-average speed, and he has made himself into a solid basestealer by developing a quick first step and studying the moves of pitchers. Samuel isn't a fluid left fielder, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
The Oakland Athletics signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Samuel like a hot potato if something better comes along.
