Kevynn Saucier
Third Baseman | Free Agents
Hitting The book on Saucier is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Saucier always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. It's hard to explain but Kevynn Saucier plays much better on the road then he does at home. It's unfortunate too, with Saucier signing a hefty contract. You gotta imagine management wants a little better relationship between him and the fans.
Baserunning & Defense When you play Saucier you're not putting him in for his glove. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical.
2010 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Saucier to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
