Gus Schlueter
Center Fielder | Free Agents

Hitting
He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. You can expect Gus Schlueter to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Schlueter doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often. Schlueter doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. Gus's arm leaves a little to be a desired.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Schlueter to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
