Randy Sheets
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Sheets always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is a weapon that ranks in the top five in the league. No longer much of a threat to steal, he's smart enough to make pitchers pay if they ignore him.

2010 Outlook
I can't say I know what The Retired or Inactive Players were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best. Sheets has below average skills, even for the low minors. One has to expect the Retired or Inactive Players will give him his walking papers before the end of the season.
