Franklin Silcott
Starting Pitcher | Atlanta Braves
Pitching Silcott's control is among the best in the game. Silcott also has a solid changeup that he'll use at any point in the count. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. Silcott gives up his share of home runs, but is always around the plate and doesn't give up many walks. His stuff becomes less sharp as he gets into the late innings. Dating back to his days in the minors, Silcott has been more effective against righthanders than lefthanders.
Defense & Hitting He has a fair pickoff move and isn't a particularly easy target for basestealers. Silcott is nothing special in the field. Silcott is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Silcott has some pop in his swing.
