Terry Steinbach
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Steinbach seems to become especially focused in big situations. He thrives late in games. Steinbach never has been a patient hitter. Let's face facts: Steinbach hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He is easy prey for any righthander who can throw a slider off the outside corner. Steinbach handles lefthanders who bring the ball into his quick hands much better. One thing's for sure, Terry Steinbach is a dead-pull hitter. Steinbach struggles on the road.

Baserunning & Defense
His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
If Steinbach doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
