Hitting
Taylor never has been a patient hitter. But Mike's detracters are quick to call attention to his ongoing struggles at the plate with men on base. Taylor always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. Taylor doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Taylor to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
