Hitting
Ward never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. Ward isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.

2010 Outlook
It's really a shame he hasn't caught on somewhere. He might be a decent addition to someone's bench.
