Leoni Weingartner
Center Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
The book on Weingartner is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Leoni Weingartner to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
Weingartner doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Weingartner you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Weingartner to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks. Weingartner isn't cutting the mustard in the low minors. It's time for Leoni to investigate other career options, like coaching highschool ball.
