Tim Wilson
Catcher | Free Agents
Hitting The book on Wilson is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. But Tim's detracters are quick to call attention to his ongoing struggles at the plate with men on base. Wilson always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His arm is accurate enough.
2010 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Wilson to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
