Hitting
Zaun is an excellent mistake hitter who belts middle-of-the-plate fastballs or hanging breaking balls. Zaun always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Zaun uses the entire field and typically produces a couple of hitting streaks of 10 or more games during a season.

Baserunning & Defense
Zaun plays a near-flawless catcher, making very few errors. His arm is accurate enough. Zaun is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
