He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Brian Anderson to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
Anderson also has toned down the careless and overaggressive mistakes he used to make. He's still adept at making sliding catches on balls near the foul line. His arm strength is well above average and runners rarely try to take liberties against him. Anderson doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often.

Pitching
The bottom also falls out of his very good changeup. His curveball is solid; he throws it better than your average starter. Anderson can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. He's almost as effective against righthanders as he is versus lefthanders.

Defense & Hitting
Anderson never has been a good fielder. Anderson has a lousy move to first, and opposing managers will run against him all day. Anderson is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Anderson has some pop in his swing.
