This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. The Free Agents do tend to sit Bacon when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
Bacon isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. Bacon doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Bacon to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
