Stub Baney
First Baseman | Anaheim Angels

Hitting
One of the nice things about Stub is that he's a real clutch hitter. Let's face facts: Baney hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
His arm and range are average, and he has a tendency to get lazy with his feet. Baney has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.

2010 Outlook
If Baney doesn't perform, the Anaheim Angels won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
