Beltre never has been a patient hitter. Beltre always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His arm is slightly above average with a quick release. Beltre isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.

2010 Outlook
One has to wonder what Esteban Beltre is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
