Jose Bittiger
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
The book on Bittiger is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Bittiger always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Minor league scouts have accused Bittiger of being a liability in the field. Jose's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Bittiger isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Bittiger to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
