Hitting
He sometimes will press in clutch situations and chase fastballs up and out of the zone. Blake was a line-drive hitter when he first came up, but over the last few years has become more of a true home-run hitter, lofting more high flyballs. He uses the entire field and has gap power.

Baserunning & Defense
Blake isn't a fluid second baseman, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate, and he knows when to unload or take his time. Blake is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
