Fred Bonds
Starting Pitcher | Chicago Cubs

Pitching
Bonds also has a decent changeup. Bonds also throws a screwball. He walks too many hitters and throws too many pitches. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.

Defense & Hitting
Bonds is nothing special in the field. He doesn't have much of a pickoff move and he's slow getting the ball to home plate out of the set position. Bonds is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Bonds has some pop in his swing.

2010 Outlook
If Bonds doesn't perform, the Chicago Cubs won't hesitate to send him down to the minors. I just don't know if The Chicago Cubs are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
