Dax Bonkowski
Starting Pitcher | St. Louis Cardinals
Pitching His impeccable control is one of the main reasons for his success. He can spot all his pitches wherever he wants. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. Bonkowski gives up his share of home runs, but is always around the plate and doesn't give up many walks. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.
Defense & Hitting Bonkowski is nothing special in the field. Basestealers have succeeded against Bonkowski because his pickoff move is weak for a lefthander. Bonkowski is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Bonkowski has some pop in his swing.
