Eric Boyd
Left Fielder | Free Agents

Hitting
Boyd never has been a patient hitter. In past seasons, Boyd has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The Free Agents do tend to sit Boyd when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. You can expect Eric Boyd to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Boyd doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Boyd you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Boyd to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
