Joe Brown
First Baseman | Florida Marlins

Hitting
He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Brown you're not putting him in for his glove. He has a strong, accurate arm. Brown has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.

2010 Outlook
In two full big league seasons, Brown already has done more than what scouts projected when he came out of college.
