Hitting
He thrives late in games. Brumfield never has been a patient hitter. Brumfield always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Free Agents do tend to sit Brumfield when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. Minor league scouts have accused Brumfield of being a liability in the field. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Brumfield to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
