Pitching
He has mastered a changeup that allows him to sneak his fastball past even the biggest swingers. When healthy, Castillo is the prototypical veteran finesse pitcher. He has the ability to coax groundballs, which helps him succeed. Because he can't overpower hitters, Castillo has to fool them instead. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.

Defense & Hitting
Castillo has an impressive presence on the mound, always taking an aggressive posture. Castillo's move to first base is average. Castillo is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Castillo has some pop in his swing.

I really like what this guy brings to the table.
