This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. You can expect Bob Costo to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal. Minor league scouts have accused Costo of being a liability in the field. Bob's arm leaves a little to be a desired.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Costo to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
