Mark Dalesandro
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Dalesandro you're not putting him in for his glove. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.

2010 Outlook
One has to wonder what Mark Dalesandro is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
