Tony Delis
Catcher | Free Agents
Hitting Delis never has been a patient hitter. In past seasons, Delis has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Tony Delis to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.
Baserunning & Defense He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His arm is accurate enough. Delis doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often.
2010 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Delis to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
