Hawk Derousse  
Starting Pitcher | Philadelphia Phillies

Pitching
He's a finesse pitcher, relying on movement and location. Because he can't overpower hitters, Derousse has to fool them instead. Derousse gives up his share of home runs, but is always around the plate and doesn't give up many walks. He tends to work slowly when in a jam, which just makes his problems worse by lulling his fielders to sleep. He traditionally fares better against lefties.

Defense & Hitting
He has a very good move to first base and is solid at controlling the running game. Derousse is nothing special in the field. Derousse is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Derousse has some pop in his swing.
