His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. Deshaies is a poor defensive catcher. He isn't very mobile or adept at blocking balls in the dirt. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Deshaies to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
