Jake DeSilva
Left Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
The book on DeSilva is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit DeSilva when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. You can expect Jake DeSilva to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed DeSilva to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
