Hitting
One thing's for sure, late in the game you're glad you have him on the field. Dumoulin never has been a patient hitter. Dumoulin always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Dumoulin to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
