Hitting
Edmonds is an excellent mistake hitter who belts middle-of-the-plate fastballs or hanging breaking balls. Edmonds always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Left field, right field, center: this guy puts it all over.

Baserunning & Defense
His range remains above average, though injuries have weakened his arm. Edmonds isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.
