Evans always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
He might not deliver for you at the plate, but Evans can certainly deliver in the field. He is an exceptional fielder. His arm is accurate enough. Evans has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.

In one full big league season, Evans already has done more than what scouts projected when he came out of college.
