Mark Farris
Third Baseman | Montreal Expos

Hitting
During the last two years, he has become more patient and gotten better loft on the ball. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him. His strength is in the gaps.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. Farris is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2010 Outlook
Farris performance in AAA is making it difficult for the Montreal Expos to ignore him much longer. Expect his name to be on the September call-up list.
