The switch-hitting Fernandez has better plate coverage and more power from the left side than when he bats righthanded.

Baserunning & Defense
Fernandez doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
AA isn't the right place for Fernandez. Expect the Retired or Inactive Players to send him down for some minor retooling.
