Hitting
Fletcher never has been a patient hitter. In past seasons, Fletcher has been a bit of a liability with men on base. Fletcher always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Fletcher when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. In the past, his critics have accused Fletcher of being a liability in the field. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.

2010 Outlook
If Fletcher doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
