Hitting
The book on Gleason is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Washington Gleason to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.
Baserunning & Defense
When you play Gleason you're not putting him in for his glove. Washington's arm leaves a little to be a desired. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.
2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Gleason to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
