Chris Gomez
Shortstop | Chicago Cubs

Hitting
But Chris's detracters are quick to call attention to his ongoing struggles at the plate with men on base. I tell you, it's a real trip to watch this guy play. He gives 110% all the time... unfortunately that means he tends to run out of gas as the game wears on. Gomez always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. Gomez isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.
