Hitting
Gozzo is an excellent mistake hitter who belts middle-of-the-plate fastballs or hanging breaking balls. He sometimes will press in clutch situations and chase fastballs up and out of the zone. Gozzo was a line-drive hitter when he first came up, but over the last few years has become more of a true home-run hitter, lofting more high flyballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He likes to pull the ball, but don't be surprised if he puts the ball the opposite field from time to time. He's a smart batter and takes good note of how the fielders are shading him.

Baserunning & Defense
Gozzo is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. When you play Gozzo you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.
