This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Bert Grater to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. He has no speed at all and runs the bases conservatively.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Grater to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
