Ramon Gregory
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
The book on Gregory is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. But Ramon's detracters are quick to call attention to his ongoing struggles at the plate with men on base. Gregory always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Gregory is a poor defensive catcher. He isn't very mobile or adept at blocking balls in the dirt. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. Gregory often has trouble scoring from second base on singles and goes from first to third only on hits to right field.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Gregory to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
