Hitting
Grissom always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense
Grissom also has toned down the careless and overaggressive mistakes he used to make. He's still adept at making sliding catches on balls near the foul line. His arm is accurate enough. Grissom doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often.
2010 Outlook
If Grissom doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
