Porter Hale
First Baseman | Atlanta Braves

Hitting
Hale has quick hands and is able to cover the entire plate. Hale always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him. Hale tends to zone in on the power-alleys. Most of his outfield hits are to left and right center.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. Hale is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
