This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Hatton always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He is easy prey for any righthander who can throw a slider off the outside corner. Hatton handles lefthanders who bring the ball into his quick hands much better.

Baserunning & Defense
Hatton has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner. Hatton is a poor defensive catcher. He isn't very mobile or adept at blocking balls in the dirt. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Hatton to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
