Hitting
He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He rarely pulls pitches, preferring to shoot line drives to left-center. It's hard to explain but Leon Hriniak plays much better on the road then he does at home.

Baserunning & Defense
Hriniak plays a near-flawless shortstop, making very few errors. His arm is accurate enough. Hriniak isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.

2010 Outlook
In three full big league seasons, Hriniak already has done more than what scouts projected when he came out of college.
