Charlie Hummel
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Charlie Hummel to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Hummel isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Hummel to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
