Hitting
Hurst always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is slightly above average with a quick release. Hurst doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often.

2010 Outlook
AA isn't the right place for Hurst. Expect the Houston Astros to send him down for some minor retooling.
