Harry Jones
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
In past seasons, Jones has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Jones is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Jones always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him.

Baserunning & Defense
Minor league scouts have accused Jones of being a liability in the field. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. Jones often has trouble scoring from second base on singles and goes from first to third only on hits to right field.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Jones to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
