Jeff Kent
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Kent never has been a patient hitter. In past seasons, Kent has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Kent you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. Kent isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.

2010 Outlook
If Kent doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
