The book on King is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. King always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
King isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. King doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed King to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
