Kowitz never has been a patient hitter. Let's face facts: Kowitz hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Brian Kowitz to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

His arm is below average but not a major weakness. Kowitz has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.
